High-visibility (hi-vis) clothing plays an important role in providing safety and preventing accidents in the workplace. It is especially important for work situations where their is more potential danger. Examples are construction industry, or working in industrial premises, or on busy roads.

Hi-vis clothing incorporates reflective strips and shapes of fluorescent material, which adsorb UV rays during the day and causing them to have a glow. This increases visibility enables the work man to be spotted in poor light conditions, such as in fog. At night alternative light sources such as street lamps and car headlights will again caused the Hi visibility material to glow to create the same reflective effect.

Hi-vis clothing also provides protection for motorcyclists, cyclists, joggers and kids and basically anyone who is more vulnerable outside in dark or dim lighting.
